- Abstract
An essay is presented which defines the role of citizen-lawyers in protecting and advocating the independence of judges. It states that the professional self discipline of a judge fade at a certain point on temptation's variable scale. It concludes that the legislation providing the Justices' chastisement and abstinence of the use of their powers for their own benefit should be enacted by the U.S. Congress. It presents the grounds for removing a justice and several impeachment cases.
