The article reflects on the views of the author on a report issued by the Georgia Appleseed entitled "Seeking the Beloved Community: Fostering Crucial Conversations about Race, Law Enforcement, and the Law" at the International Association of Law Libraries conference. Topics include relation between law, policy, and community engagement; fostering public trust in and confidence in the fairness of police interactions; and effective communication between law enforcement and the community.
