The article focuses on the Jesuit Libraries Provenance Project of the students of the Loyola University of Chicago which documents every inscription, stamp and bookplates within the books of St. Ignatius College library. It notes that the books were from mid-19th century and printed on highly acidic wood-pulp paper. The provenance marks discovered were photographed using a digital camera and uploaded onto an external hard drive.
