The article highlights the forensic investigations of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) on the pavement designs of the Minnesota Road Research (MnROAD) in Albertville. The study reveals deterioration at middepth of tranverse joints. It notes that sections with base layers that drained water adequately performed better than sections with slower draining bases.
