- Abstract
The article provides some advancements in the local reinforced concrete specifications that have significantly improved the quality of concrete construction in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. The corrosion of reinforcement is the primary cause of concrete deterioration. The cathodic protection systems can be highly successful in preventing corrosion damage. The article also presents case histories on cooling canal system, buried pipelines and shoreline protection structure in the country.
