- Abstract
An essay is presented analyzing the works of the 20th-century Irish poet and author William Butler Yeats in regards to his manifestations of the legendary figures of Narcissus and Echo. A postmodern critical approach is directed towards multiple works by Yeats discussing subjects such as his engagement with the subconscious, the idealization of women, and his use of narcissistic traits in characters.
