The article discusses a study on the strengths and weaknesses of the editing tools of Microsoft Office Word 2007. It cites a study by Gary F. Kohut and Kevin J. Gorman which observed five freestanding checker programs including PowerEdit and RightWriter, among others. It presents the methodology used in testing the spelling and grammar checkers of Microsoft Word.
