- Abstract
Results of a numerical simulation of the convective heat exchange in an electrically conducting liquid layer between two concentric isothermal spheres are presented. The influence of the Joule heat dissipation in this layer on the structure of the liquid flow as well as on the temperature and magnetic-induction fields and the distribution of Nusselt numbers in it was investigated. Equations for simulation of the heat exchange in the spherical liquid layer in the case where the gravitational acceleration is directed to the center of the concentric spheres have been obtained.
