- Title
THE EPISTEMIC CONNECTION BETWEEN NATURE AND VALUE IN NEW AND TRADITIONAL NATURAL LAW THEORY.
- Authors
Donnelly, Bebhinn
- Abstract
The article talks about the epistemic connection between nature and value in traditional natural law theory. Robert George's statement about the failure of critics to distinguish between ontological and epistemic grounding in nature is offered. It shows the natural law theory's importance in the development of a theory of good, the formulation of the principle of practical reason, the connection between nature and human goods, and the instantiation of good in human activity. It also discusses the failure of the new natural law to demonstrate non-inferential understanding of human goods.
