- Abstract
The article presents two studies related to karate and adaptive sports. In the first study, the relationship between injury risk, core strength, and biomechanical characteristics in competitive karate athletes in 2022 is investigated. It was found that knee injuries are common in karate athletes and that the Mawashi Geri Jodan kick is associated with a higher risk of injury. In the second study, the effect of a HIIT training program to improve aerobic capacity in competitive para-athletes from Cauca is analyzed. The aim is to provide better preparation opportunities for Paralympic sports, starting with para-athletics.
