- Abstract
The psychometric concept of "creativity", which is widely used in art education, is deconstructed as an alien construct that contributes to the de-subjectification of art teaching. From a systematic point of view, creativity cannot be the subject of art education. Rather, creativity is re-founded as an anthropological condition of art education and its significance is located in educational theory. This leads to a redefinition and reassessment of art didactic factors of creative work in art lessons. This includes, in particular, the connection between creativity and subject-specific skills on the basis of culture and history. Therefore, more meaningful models of historical art theory itself can be chosen to guide creative processes.
