- Abstract
The article reports on the results of a needs assessment conducted by the Houston Department of Health and Human Services in Texas to measure the prevalence of injuries and health complaints in the state. It found that the greatest need among the households surveyed was for assistance obtaining food. It also noted the need to prepare communities at risk for hurricanes for longer than the expected recovery period.
