- Abstract
The article presents a study on the solubilization and method of administering steroids into the aquaria water through the use of acetone as its carrier solvent. The study uses the mosquitofish Gambusia affinis as the experimental aquatic model. The study indicates that amounts of androstenedione, androstanol, and methyltestosterone may be solubilized in acetone. The study suggests the potential of acetone solubilization delivery method for use in other similar studies.
