- Abstract
The article cites a study that compares the structure of chatter calls of the Orange-fronted and Yellow-crowned, Parakeets. It states that recordings were taken from valley floor beach forests in New Zealand of both species as they give frequent chatter calls while foraging and socializing. Information is provided on the methods used, for making spectrograms of each chatter call, calculating the number of syllables per second, and measurement of frequency modulation.
