In this article the author discusses about her resignation as a chairperson of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and appointment of Barry Matherly in her place and also discusses about the work done by the Council in advancing the discussion of the role of the economic developer in promoting equitable growth. Topics include the research produced and the knowledge disseminated by IEDC to its members, and IEDC events in 2016 including celebrating of its 90th anniversary.
