- Abstract
This article discusses the use of line-field confocal optical coherence tomography (LC-OCT) to analyze the cutaneous effects of diode laser treatment for hair removal. LC-OCT is an optical imaging device that provides real-time, high-resolution assessment of the skin by using a laser to measure the reflection of light from cellular structures. The study used LC-OCT to visualize and evaluate the changes in the skin before and after laser treatment, specifically focusing on perifollicular inflammation. The findings confirmed that diode lasers effectively target hair follicles while sparing the surrounding epidermis, and LC-OCT can be a useful tool for optimizing laser settings and reducing adverse effects.
