- Authors
Robertson, Malcolm H.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the study which examines the results of a pre-college testing and counseling program for 186 prospective freshmen at the University of Mississippi. A questionnaire intended to gain self-estimates and attitudes toward college was distributed to the students at the beginning and at the end of each three-day conference. The study found that almost all of the students who attended the counseling program had a definite educational goal prior to the conference. It was also identified that 25 percent of them decided to change their educational goals after joining the conference.
