- Abstract
The article titled "Total Synthesis of Eutyscoparol A and Violaceoid C" in the Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry discusses the successful synthesis of eutyscoparol A and violaceoid C by Takatsugu Murata, Isamu Shiina, and their colleagues. The researchers used a desymmetrization strategy to synthesize these compounds, with the cover picture of the article depicting the symmetric skeleton of quinol intermediates. Eutyscoparol A was also found to be isolated from the endogenous bacterium Eutypella scoparia SCBG-8, which is associated with the Myrtaceae plant. The article provides valuable insights into the total synthesis of these compounds and their natural sources.
