- Abstract
The article discusses a study that determined the effects of naringenin on skin inflammation, proinflammatory cytokines and macrophage polarization shifts of pathways M1 to M2 in atopic dermatitis (AD) NC/Nga mouse model. Findings discussed include decrease in dermatitis score of naringenin treatment group, and naringenin treatment to have attenuated changes such as hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, acanthosis/spongosis and infiltrated mast cells in AD mice skin.
