The article presents commentary on the methodology and results of the report "Random and Nonrandom Relationships Among Financial Variables: A Financial Model," by Joseph E. Murphy and J. Russell Nelson, included within the issue, discussing the temporal behavior of financial variables. The postulates offered within the report are examined individually and future research implications and extensions are discussed.
