- Abstract
The article focuses on the continuous development of autobiographical studies. Autobiographical texts provide a natural space for such reflection and one should be looking for the ways in which autobiographical writing establishes a form of cultural memory. It mentions that being able to present a thematic issue of the "Bulletin of Hispanic Studies on Iberian Autobiography is an important opportunity to bring some concerns of autobiographical studies to a large audience. The impetus to consider new modalities of autobiographical studies can already be seen in some of the essays that do not hesitate to cross generic boundaries.
