- Abstract
A Fragile History, written by Andrew Pettegree and Arthur der Weduwen Nevertheless, I would like to suggest reading another major work on the history of the library alongside: James W.P. Campbell, I The Library: a world History i (2013) who tackles the library from the angle of the construction, its use and how it functions within environmental planning all over the world. A Fragile History i is an essential work and Pettegree and Der Weduwen have shown the incredible power of the library to re-invent itself over and over.
