- Abstract
This article presents the findings of a study conducted at a hospital in India on adverse drug reactions (ADRs) caused by commonly prescribed antibiotics. The study found that antibiotics were the most common class of drugs associated with ADRs, with anti-tubercular drugs being the most commonly implicated antibiotics. The cutaneous system was the most commonly affected organ system, and pruritus and rash were the most frequently reported ADRs. The majority of ADRs were classified as possible and mild in severity. The article highlights the importance of following antibiotic guidelines and taking appropriate action to prevent ADRs.
