- Abstract
This article from the Veterinary Nursing Journal discusses a study that examined the effect of auditory aids on chest compression rate during resuscitation. The study involved 20 veterinary surgeons and 16 veterinary nurses performing resuscitation on a canine manikin while listening to different songs or a metronome. The findings showed that hearing either Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" or a traditional metronome helped clinicians maintain the required compression rate of 100-120 compressions per minute. Surprisingly, the song "Stayin' Alive" did not have the same effect.
