- Abstract
The article presents a report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on illnesses and injuries related to the pesticides total release foggers (TRF). The illnesses and injuries occurred between 2001 and 2006 in eight states. State surveillance programs provided the CDC with cases of TRF-related illness or injury. The article explains that most TRFs contain pyrethroid and pyrethrin. Three case reports are included. One involved a 38 year old woman with headache, nausea and shortness of breath. Another involves a 34 year old man with upper airway irritation. The third case involved a man who experienced headache, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting.
