- Authors
Jahromi, Alireza Hamidian; Cyrus, John W.; Youssef, Asser M.
- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 32-year-old man's injuries from a motorcycle crash and proposes the use of the term ‘‘platyabdominalgia’’ for defining abdominal pain that is aggravated by an upright position but relieved in a lying down position. The article notes the man's various injuries and an undiagnosed mesenteric hematoma which perforated and restricted blood flow to this segment of the small bowel.
