- Abstract
The article discusses the function of international law as an instrument for the development of European Union's (EU's) agenda. It explores the law as a source of responsibility and advancement of European integration and its constraints as well for the institutions. It examines the relationship between European and other international laws such as the United Nations (UN) law and their influence to the former. It also highlights the significance of the legal instrument to the overall organisation of the European integration.
