- Abstract
The article presents information on the effect of negative publicity and information associated with criminal case to be made public. It states that a negative publicity can damage the reputation of a person, delay education and career and dampen the physical safety by threats of violence. It discusses several court cases of Florida including State of Florida v. Rolling, Post-Newsweek v. Doe, and Barron v. Florida Freedom Newspapers, involving issues related to privacy and public records.
