The article presents author's views regarding the judgment of the Court of Justice for two court cases including Costa v. ENEL in the July 15, 1964 and Van Gend and Loos v. Nederlandse Administratie der Belastingen in the February 5, 1963. Topics include direct effect of European Union (EU) law in the national legal orders, community law as a subsystem of international law and dualist attitude of Court towards written international law.
