Title
THE FORGOTTEN MINORITY.
Abstract
The article reports on the plight of the ethnic Muslim Rohingya who have endured persecution by the ruling junta of Myanmar. It is said that thousands flee every year, trying to escape a life of abuse that was codified in 1982 with a law that virtually bars them from becoming citizens. The Myanmar government refuses to recognize the Rohingyas as one of its official minorities.
