- Abstract
In order to research the effect of surfactants on indigo dyeing, monomer solution and compound solution were prepared separately by NNO, peregal O and penetrant SRD, the wetting ability of solution and compatibility with caustic soda and sodium hydrosulfite were tested. The indigo dye solution and the blank were prepared, the redox potential of four dyeing solution were tested. Meanwhile, the properties of cotton fabric after dyeing were tested and analyzed. The results show that, the three surfactants have good alkali resistance and insurance resistance, SRD has the best permeability, it can improve the redox potential rapidly and accelerate the reduction of indigo dye. The three surfactants slow down the speed of indigo dyeing and reduce the dye uptake of indigo in initial dyeing stage. NNO can deepen the color, peregal O and penetrant SRD have the same effect, and the color are lightest before and after soap cooking. The white core of color yarn with peregal O is the most obvious, followed by penetrant SRD and the blank test. Peregal O and penetrant SRD can improve the rubbing fastness of fabric. SRD is more conducive to production applications.
