- Abstract
The article outlines the community-based participatory research (CBPR) program by the University of Arizona of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT or S&K) of the Flathead Indian Reservation in Western Montana. The university program is jointly run by Anita Dupuis ,who holds a degree in public health and is also a tribal member, and Cheryl Ritenbaugh, PhD. The program hopes to raise health awareness of diabetes and heart disease among members of the tribe.
