- Abstract
The article presents an initial investigation on the morphology of Sundarbans tigers. The tiger subspecies from Sundarbans of Bangladesh and India may have evolved to become genetically or morphologically distinct. The study analyzed skull morphometrics and body weights to investigate the difference of the Sundarbans subspecies from other tiger groups. The results show significant data for Sundarbans tigers to be potentially distinct from other tiger groups, but further genetic analysis is recommended.
