- Title
Housing Benefit and Work Disincentives.
- Authors
Simon Rahilly
- Abstract
The article focuses on the legal aspects of housing benefits and work disincentives in Great Britain. It reviews the implication of housing benefit to the continuing work disincentives. It mentions that housing benefit can be taken as assistance towards the cost of rent by those in and out of work. In addition, more radical measures to introduce a housing credit are likely to await the impositions of the newly introduced tax credits for the beneficiaries.
