- Abstract
The article examines in detail the project titled "A Place Where Technology and Tradition Meet" which won first place in the Interior Design subdivision of the Design Awards issued by the Interior Design Educators Council Inc. (IDEC). The design in question was submitted by Ji Young Cho of the Univeristy of Missouri, Columbia and presents a renovation plan for the main conference room of the National Assembly of South Korea in Seoul, Korea. Original sketches and three dimentional renderings are included which depict the potential finsihed outcome of the renovation. The article presents the designer's description of the project and the concepts and inspiration underlying the design.
