The article presents a meta-analysis comparing the effectiveness of radical retropubic prostatectomy (RRP) and robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP). The researchers found that in terms of operative times, RALP took longer to complete than RRP while RALP posted a lower transfusion rate, sorter urethral catheterization, shorter hospital stay and fewer perioperative complications compared with RRP.
