The article discusses the concept of nullification, secession and interposition. Topics discussed include the constitutional theory or the doctrinal legacy of the U.S Supreme Court case Texas v. White, Article 2 of the Articles of Confederation, and the problem of division of sovereignty within a federal system. Other topics include appearance of the Supremacy Clause as an element in the New Jersey Plan and constitutional conventions.
