- Abstract
As an important part of straddle monorail vehicle, the auxiliary power system mainly converts direct current into alternating current to power vehicle equipment by controlling the opening and closing sequence of auxiliary inverter switching component IGBT. This paper takes 84 vehicles of Chongqing Transit Line 2 as the research object, mainly focuses on the statistics and research of failure forms of IGBT module of auxiliary coverter for straddle monorail vehicle after long-term operation, and proposes targeted solutions and equipment maintenance suggestions in combination with the failure phenomenon and operating environment. Through the analysis of IGBT failure mechanism and characteristic indexes, it is found that the main failure form of IGBT module of auxiliary converter for straddle monorail vehicle is packaging level failure, that is, the detachment of the bonding wire, which is manifested as an increase in the conduction voltage drop value. Based on the above analysis and research, the paper proposes an online assessment method for such problems and corresponding equipment maintenance recommendations, which are useful for improving the operational efficiency of auxiliary inverters and vehicles as well as saving the economic and time costs of equipment maintenance
