- Abstract
The article discusses the issue of online piracy and counterfeiting, and the role played by the U.S. in the global efforts to fight the problem. It cites the Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA), which was a law from U.S. Senators Patrick Leahy and Orrin Hatch that aims to fight online piracy and counterfeiting. It also presents the Digital Economy Act in Great Britain and The Creation and Internet Law in France.
