- Abstract
The article focuses on the first report of Monticellius (M.) indicum Mehra, 1939 infecting Chelonia (C.) mydas Linnaeus, 1758 from São Paulo State, Brazil. The circulatory system of the turtle was examined based on the method described by Syder and Clopton and modified by Werneck et al. It says that M. indicum is seldom reported in chelonians and its prevalence seems to be usually low.
