- Abstract
The article presents an ethnobotanical study on the lycophytes and ferns used by the Guaranís of Misiones Province, Argentina. The study identifies the fifty species of ferns being used, and discusses the details of the nomenclature and Guaraní names. The study mentions that lycophytes and ferns are used in magic rituals and medicines. The study notes that one of the most important modern use of ferns is commercialization in horticulture.
