The article highlights the work of Theodora Kroeber, a writer who lived the most of her life in Berkeley, California capturing both sorrow and wonder. It features Theodora's famous work "Ishi in Two Worlds" that recounts on the prehistoric world of northern California before the Gold Rush. It gives a detailed account on the contribution of Theodora in writing and publishing the biography of Ishi from a secondary sources into the life of the readers. Moreover, it presents several writing pieces of Theodora which includes a children's version of the story "Ishi: Last of his Tribe," "The Inland Whale," a book of nine Indian tales and "A Green Christmas," a children's tale.
