- Abstract
The article evaluates the Jason Project, a distance education program founded by Dr. Robert Ballard, director of the Deep Submergence lab at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). The project is designed to introduce scientific exploration in order to inspire and motivate middle school students to learn science in North America. The launch of the Jason project was a success and a survey was conducted to assess the effectiveness and quality of the project.
