- Abstract
The article presents the results of research into the material properties of elastomeric metallocene-catalyzed polyolefin and commercial homopolymer polypropylene blends, focusing on their yield behavior. Samples with different crystalline phase morphology and elastomeric phase content were subjected to constant strain rate tests, including uniaxial compression, plane strain compression and uniaxial tension tests. Theoretical models which provide useful predictions of the yield behavior of such materials are discussed.
