- Abstract
The article explores a study on the elongational viscosity of low-density polyethylenes (LDPEs) and polystyrenes using entrance loss data. The optimization of the values of parameters in the Sarkar-Gupta elongational viscosity model has been conducted toward the estimation of the elongational viscosity. Results disclosed that the difference in the experimental and anticipated entrance loss at lower flow rights may be attributed to the significant error in the experimental data at higth flow rates. Background of the study is offered.
