A speech about Investor State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) and the political aspects of international intellectual property, which was given by American University Washington College of Law professor Sean Flynn at the Kernochan Center Annual Symposium at Columbia Law School in New York, New York on October 14, 2016, is presented. The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement and global copyright protections are examined, along with the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
