- Abstract
The article examines the program Awake: Art, Buddhism, and the Dimensions of Consciousness and its significance to curators. The participation of artists in Awake meetings were important, especially their contributions to the creation of the book "Buddha Mind in Contemporary Art" by the project. Two principles emerged from the project which have curatorial implications. Curators have a role in creating a space and time for the art experience.
