- Abstract
The article discusses the British court case R. v. Warren which considered the ambit of the power of a sentencing judge to alter or amend a sentence after it has been passed under the powers contained within the Powers of Criminal Courts Act of 2000. Topics covered include the appellant's guilty plea to an offence of conspiracy to rob, his filing of an appeal to ensure that the proper sentence was passed for his involvement in crime, and the court's dismissal of the appeal.
