- Authors
Tiffany, Grace
- Abstract
A literary criticism of William Shakespeare's Second Tetralogy, consisting of the plays "Richard II," "Henry IV, Part One," "Henry IV, Part Two," and "Henry V" is presented. The author discusses single combat and weaponry in the plays and suggests that references to guns in the plays raise questions about traditions of honor and rank. The author discusses specific instances of combat in the plays, such as a joust between the characters Henry Bolingbroke and Thomas Mowbray in "Richard II."
