- Abstract
The article discusses the role that late 1910s and 1920s film played in depicting genocide, famine and refugees in the First World War (World War I), including its impact on humanitarianism and international relief organizations' work. An overview of the depiction of the Armenian Genocide in motion pictures, including in the film "Ravished Armenia," is provided.
